that border sealing compounds for insulating glass units come in contact
with ever new materials poses a huge challenge for the industry. Mutual
reactions between insulating glass sealing compounds and other materials
used can have detrimental effects on the functioning of the insulating glass panels and may reduce their life-span dramatically. EMCEPREN shows
excellent compatibility with the materials most frequently used that are in
contact with the border fitting. To meet our high quality standard, we carry
out compatibility tests in our laboratories upon customer request.

The compatibility between sealing compound and other materials therefore
is gaining in importance and thus constitutes an important topic amongst
expert panels.
